The government has begun distributing free fertilizers to farmers in the district as part of its flagship program “Planting for Food and Jobs” . This initiative aims to boost agricultural production, ensure food security, and improve livelihoods for farmers. The district has received the fertilizer, which will be distributed to  registered farmers. The fertilizers are specifically formulated to enhance crop yields and improve soil fertility.

Speaking at the distribution ceremony, District Chief Executive Hon. Elizabeth Anim. Adjornor  emphasized, “This initiative demonstrates our commitment to supporting farmers and ensuring food security. We believe that empowering farmers is key to national development.”

The free fertilizers are expected to:

– Increase crop yields by up to [percentage] – Enhance soil fertility and reduce soil degradation
– Improve farmer incomes and livelihoods
– Contribute to national food security
