The Jasikan Municipal Assembly, in partnership with the Office of the Member of Parliament for Buem Constituency, successfully implemented a three-day development programme across the municipality, focusing on education, healthcare, roads, water, rural electrification, and community engagement

The exercise was led by Hon.Parke-Davis Magyigbe together with Hon. Iddie Kofi Adams MP, for Buem Constituency and Minister for Sports and Recreation, with support from the Oti Regional Minister, Hon John Kwadwo Gyapong, traditional authorities, and community members. The programme delivered real, visible progress at the grassroots.

We celebrated and honoured outstanding teachers for their dedication and excellence in education, with more teachers recognized this year.
EDUCATION

3 units KG Classrooms Block

Teteman
Key interventions undertaken included:
- Sod-cutting for the construction of a 6-Unit Classroom Block at St. Paul’s Anglican School, Jasikan
- Commissioning of a 2-Unit KG Block at Attakrom M/A School
- Inspection of ongoing and completed education projects, including:
- 3-Unit KG Block – SDA School, Teteman
- 3-Unit JHS Block – Dzolu M/A School
- 6-Unit Primary Block – Bodada R/C School
- 6-Unit Primary Block – Ketsi Nkwanta R/C School
- Abandoned GETFund Boys’ Dormitory at Baglo Ridge SHTS (contractor to resume work soon)
- Abandoned GETFund 6-Unit Classroom Blocks at Bodada, Attakrom, and Nanankor
HEALTH

Attakrom CHPS Compound
To expand access to quality healthcare, we:
- Cut sod for the construction of two (2) new CHPS Compounds with nurses’ quarters and mechanized boreholes at:
- Amoako
- Buem Odumase
- Inspected ongoing CHPS Compound projects at Attakrom and Kudje
ROADS

SOD Cutting
- Sod-cutting for the Jasikan–Teteman–Baika–Lolobi Road
- Community engagements on the construction of Jasikan and Teteman Township Roads
These projects will significantly improve connectivity, safety, and economic activities.
WATER
Inspections of small-town water systems at:
- Okadjakrom
- Ketsi Nkwanta
- Kudje
These projects will enhance access to safe and potable water upon completion.
RURAL ELECTRIFICATION
Inspections were conducted at:
- Togbui Boy Akaa
- Amoako
- Gali Kofe (Baglo)
- Guamah Odumase
- Nanankor
- Lekanti
When completed, these projects will boost livelihoods, support local businesses, and improve living standards.
The three days clearly demonstrated government’s commitment to inclusive development, transparency, and community participation.
Together, we are building a stronger and better Jasikan.
